Powerball Odds and Prizes
There are nine prize levels in Powerball and you win bigger prizes as you match more numbers. Matching all six numbers will win you the jackpot. This starts at $20 million but also rolls each time the jackpot is not won. Powerball jackpots have been known to rise up into the billions!

Power Play Prizes
The amount you win can be multiplied if you select the Power Play option when purchasing a ticket. The amount your potential (non-jackpot) prize will be multiplied by depends on whichever Power Play number is drawn, this is either: 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10. Some notable exceptions include the $1 million jackpot which is capped at $2 million regardless of the multiplier. Here are the prizes you can win with Power Play:

How to Claim
There are a few ways you can claim prizes in Powerball. For prizes less than $600 the best way is to go to collect your winnings at a Virginia-based lottery retailer. For anything over $600 you can mail in your winning ticket along with your social security number and government issued photo ID.
